      • The character Pippi was created, as most people know, by our beloved author Astrid Lindgren 75 years ago. There are many similarities between the current situation in the world, and with that which prevailed at the end of World War II, the year that Pippi came into being. Girls who are forced to leave their homes for a life on the run. Strength, courage and hope are things needed to cope with such a situation, and to be able to move forward towards a brighter future. Here is an opportunity to support the work of girls who are on the run - The Pippis of Today!
