- Air purifiers sometimes catch both viruses and bacteria, which then stick to its filters. The UV lamp TruSens Z-2000 quickly and effectively destroys these and prevents them from multiplying and infecting.
- A UV lamp plays a major role in the air purifier process. When the air purifier catches pollutants such as odors, gases and even viruses and bacteria, the latter get stuck in the air filters. To prevent these microscopic, airborne organisms from multiplying, which they can do if left untreated, UV light is used. The organisms are unable to withstand the germicidal wavelengths of UV light emitted by the lamp and can then no longer reproduce or infect. When the indicator light for the UV lamp glows red, it is time for a change.
