DVD-RW is a rewritable disc with a capacity of 4.7 GB. It adheres to the DVD Forum specifications. Verbatims DVD writable discs use a Super Eutectic Recording Layer (SERL). SERL ensures that noise-free recording can be enjoyed time and again. With conventional writable media, the recording layer deteriorates with each rewrite, resulting in a decrease in quality. However, with Verbatim writable media, the recording layer is restored to perfect condition with each erasure cycle, leaving a flawless disc for the next recording. DVD-RW is a sequential read/write medium primarily designed for video recording and streaming backup applications. DVD-RW discs can be written to up to 1,000 times. A number of DVD-ROM drives and DVD players support DVD-RW. This is a disc with a matte silver surface. It can be written on with a CD/DVD marker pen.
