The measuring surface should be relatively smooth and at least 12 mm in diameter. The measurement should be taken at least 12 mm from the outer edge. Calibration can be performed against the attached test block. The instrument has a mean value function for 2 to 9 measurements. Switches off automatically after 1 minute. Instrument complies with standards according to DIN 53505, ISO 868, ASTM D 2240.
