Measures the hardness of soft materials such as rubber, soft plastic materials, leather etc. A spring-loaded measuring tip is held against the material and the hardness is given in Shore A. The measuring surface should be relatively smooth and at least 12 mm in diameter. The measurement should be taken at least 12 mm from the outer edge. Calibration can be performed against the attached test block. The instrument has a mean value function for 2 to 9 measurements. Switches off automatically after 1 minute. Instrument complies with standards according to DIN 53505, ISO 868, ASTM D 2240.
