Founded in Uedem in 1910, ELTEN is now one of the leading manufacturers of safety and work footwear in Europe with around 400 employees and an annual production of approx. 3 million pairs of shoes. Material
The cushioning material, which originally comes from the sports sector, uses expanded thermoplastic polyurethane. It expands when you step on it and immediately flows back when the foot rolls off giving a 55% energy return. This rebound effect provides noticeable relief for anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet and on hard floors on the job. Next to that compared to EVA and PU the material is sustainable as it never loses its cushioning.
Function
The BOA® Fit System makes putting on and taking off shoes a breeze. The twist closure, which can even be operated with just one hand, replaces complicated tying of laces and allows the shoe to be adjusted to fit the foot precisely. This is practical and saves time.
Loop Elten
Whether it is the reduction of CO2 emissions, the use of recycled materials in the shoe production or adequate pay and physical well-being of the employees: with these and other measures we ensure sustainability on all levels. This is also reviewed and certified by independent auditing institutions.
AWARDS
We are also a member of the Leather Working Group, which is committed to the sustainable and responsible use of leather. Together with amfori BSCI, we work on the sustainable improvement of social standards in the supply chain. All sustainability measures are audited and certified by independent auditing bodies such as EcoVadis.
Our MADDOX shoes are already real classics. They combine extensive protective features with optimal wearing comfort and additionally look very sporty.
