The most important distinction within the range is between Standard and Fine systems.

Fine models feature a thinner needle and are designed for delicate garments and lightweight fabrics. The Avery Dennison Mark III Fine, for example, is specifically intended for thinner materials and sensitive clothing items.

Standard models are suitable for everyday labelling of products such as jeans, workwear, and heavier textiles. These models are available from brands including Avery Dennison, Jolly, and Sigel. The most suitable option also depends on the fastening and needle system used by the business.

Fasteners and Replacement Needles Must Match the Gun

Tagging gun fasteners are available in several lengths and designs, including 25 mm and 40 mm versions as well as hook fasteners and loop fasteners. Standard and Fine systems use different fasteners and needles, and the range also includes dedicated replacement needles for each system.

It is therefore important not to select accessories based solely on length. Always verify whether the product is intended for a Standard system, Fine system, or a specific tagging gun model.

For example, Tingstad's Standard replacement needles are compatible with both Jolly and Avery Dennison Standard models, while the Sigel ZB600 requires its own ZB360 replacement needle.
