Special Batteries.
Batteries for Alarms, Photography and Specialized Electronics
Not all devices run on standard batteries. In the category of special batteries, we have gathered the powerful and unique energy sources required for more advanced equipment. Here you’ll find replacement batteries for everything from wireless alarm systems and security cameras to garage door openers, car keys and hearing aids. We help you keep critical infrastructure up and running.
Common Special Batteries and Their Uses
The labeling can be a jungle to navigate. Here is a guide to the most common types we offer:
- CR123A / CR123 (3V Lithium): A very powerful cylindrical battery. This is the standard for many wireless home alarm systems, sensors and professional LED flashlights. They offer extremely long shelf life and excellent cold resistance.
- CR2 (3V Lithium): Similar to the CR123A but slightly shorter. Commonly used in camera equipment, rangefinders (golf/hunting) and certain alarm components.
- V23GA / MN21 (12V): A small battery resembling a short AAA, but with high voltage (12V). Used almost exclusively in remote controls for garage doors, car alarms and wireless doorbells.
- Hearing aid batteries: Zinc‑air batteries marked with color codes (Yellow 10, Orange 13, Brown 312, Blue 675) for easy identification.
Unsure Which One You Need?
Special batteries often have several different names depending on the manufacturer (for example, V23GA may also be labeled A23 or LRV08). The safest way is to check the code printed on the old battery and compare it with the product description. If the voltage and size match, it will fit.
