How to Choose the Right Cake Board for Your Business

When presenting everything from heavy wedding cakes to delicate pastries, the choice of cake board is crucial for both appearance and functionality. Consider the following:

  • Material and durability: For heavier cakes or cakes that need to be transported, we recommend our foil-coated cake boards. They are grease- and moisture-resistant, extremely sturdy, and allow customers to cut the cake directly on the board without the material bending or breaking.
  • Shape and size: Round cake boards are the classic option, but for sandwich cakes or modern mousse cakes, our square and oval boards are a must.

    Tip: Always choose a board that is about 2–4 cm larger in diameter than the cake itself for optimal handling and presentation.
  • Color (Gold/Silver vs. White): Serving a wedding cake or an exclusive catering dessert? A gold or silver cake board immediately elevates the perceived quality. White boards and doilies instead create a clean, classic and traditional look.
