Rawstraw is a company founded by two business-minded girls in 2018 with the vision of creating sustainable straws that do not get ruined by liquids and become soggy. They had previously worked in restaurants and bars and disliked the thought of how many plastic straws were thrown away after a single use, so they chose to change that. Rawstraw straws are 100% natural and made from rye sourced from local farmers. After that, they dry the rye, and then the straws are ready to use. Since the raw materials are completely natural, the product is also reusable and can be washed in the dishwasher after use; otherwise, you can throw the straws in the compost so that they break down and can, in turn, be used as nutrients for new rye.

In 2021, Rawstraw achieved success in SVT.s entrepreneur program Draknästet and received two investments in the company, which allowed them to develop their production, and they are now aiming for a market across Europe.

We offer various lengths and quantities of straws to ensure there is something for everyone, primarily within the restaurant industry, to save both money and the climate by reusing straws instead of throwing them away immediately after use.
