In their latest major investment, they are working with a new technology where packaging is produced directly from pulp in wood fibers - Formed Fiber. Stora Enso's food packaging made of wood fiber can be bought here at Tingstad. Their food packaging goes by the name PureFiber ™ by Stora Enso. PureFiber ™ has a significantly lower CO2 footprint compared to similar fiber-based food packaging. Thanks to the new technology, the necessary barrier that food packaging needs can be created completely without plastic coating. This provides completely plastic-free packaging intended for food contact.
