- This lovely set makes an excellent gift. The core of the knife is made of quality VG-MAX steel and has 32 layers of Damascus steel on each side, giving the blade a beautiful pattern. The handle of the forks is made of Pakkawood, which is polished and sanded to a glossy finish.
