Laminators

A laminator helps protect documents, signs, and other printed materials from dirt, moisture, and everyday wear and tear. It's an ideal solution for frequently used items such as menus, instructions, information signs, and workplace documents.

At Tingstad, you'll find laminators for both A4 and A3 formats, ranging from simple office models to machines designed for more frequent use. Choose a laminator based on your print size requirements and how often you need to laminate.

Which Laminator Should You Choose?

The right choice depends primarily on the types of documents you need to laminate and how often the machine will be used. For occasional laminating, a basic model is often sufficient, while workplaces with higher volumes may benefit from a faster machine with a shorter warm-up time.

A4 or A3 Laminator?

An A4 laminator is ideal for standard documents, instructions, signs, and smaller printouts. It is a practical choice for offices, reception areas, and other workplaces where A4 paper is commonly used.

If you need to laminate larger signs, drawings, or informational materials, an A3 laminator is a better option. An A3 machine can usually also handle smaller formats, provided that both the laminator and the laminating pouches are suitable for them.

Consider the Thickness of the Laminating Pouches

Laminating pouches are available in different thicknesses, typically measured in microns (µm). Common options include 80, 100, and 125 microns per side.

Thinner pouches are often suitable for everyday documents, while thicker pouches provide a more rigid and durable finish. However, not all laminators support every pouch thickness, so be sure to check the machine specifications before choosing your pouches.

It can also be useful to compare warm-up time and lamination speed, especially if you plan to laminate multiple documents in succession.
