Which Office Tape Should You Choose?
The right choice depends on what you need to tape and how visible the tape can be. For everyday office tasks, transparent tape is often sufficient, while documents, presentations, and special labelling may require a different type.
Transparent Office Tape
Standard transparent office tape is suitable for attaching paper, wrapping gifts, and making simple seals. It is available in various widths and roll lengths, making it a reliable all-purpose choice for the office.
Document Tape and Invisible Tape
Document tape is often used for repairing and reinforcing paper. If you want the tape to be as discreet as possible, a matte invisible tape may be a better option, especially for documents and presentation materials.
Some varieties are also writable, but always check the product specifications if this feature is important for your intended use.
Paper Tape
Paper tape is an alternative to conventional plastic-based office tape. Its properties vary depending on the material and adhesive used, so choose a version that suits the item you need to attach or seal.
Freezer Tape for Labelling
Freezer tape is designed for labelling and sealing in cold environments. It can be used, for example, to write dates or contents on packages intended for freezer storage. Make sure the tape is suitable for the temperatures and surfaces where it will be used.
Choose the Right Width and Roll Length
Office tape is available in various widths and lengths. For standard desk use, widths of 18-19 mm are common, while wider tape can be useful when a larger adhesive area is required.
If your workplace uses large amounts of tape, longer rolls of 33 or 66 metres and multipacks may be a cost-effective choice. For more occasional use, a shorter roll may be sufficient.
If the tape will be used in a tape dispenser, it is also important to check the roll's core diameter and width. Not all rolls fit all dispensers.
