Staples for Staplers

Here you'll find staples for standard office staplers, plier staplers, and heavy-duty models designed to handle larger stacks of paper. We offer a range of sizes and formats, including 24/6, 26/6, and 23/8 staples, from brands such as Rapid and Leitz.

The staples you need depend on the type of stapler you use and the number of sheets you want to staple. Be sure to check the staple size required by your stapler before ordering to avoid purchasing the wrong type.

Which Staple Size Should I Choose?

There are many different staple sizes available, and not all staples fit every stapler. Two common sizes for office use are 24/6 and 26/6, while sizes such as 23/8 are used in certain heavy-duty staplers.

24/6 and 26/6 Staples

24/6 and 26/6 are common staple sizes for fastening paper in office environments. Both have a leg length of 6 mm, but they differ in wire gauge and construction.

Many staplers are designed for one of these sizes, while some models are compatible with both. Be sure to check the specifications for your particular stapler.

Staples for Thicker Documents

For larger stacks of paper, heavier-duty staples such as 23/8, 24/8, and other sizes with longer legs are available. These are used with staplers designed for higher sheet capacities.

The number of sheets you can staple depends on the staple, the stapler, and the paper thickness. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.

What Do the Numbers on Staples Mean?

Designations such as 24/6 and 26/6 indicate the staple type and size.

The first number refers to the staple wire type or gauge according to the size classification, while the second number indicates the leg length in millimetres. A 24/6 staple therefore has 6 mm legs, just like a 26/6 staple.

However, this does not mean they are always interchangeable. Check your stapler's recommended staple size before purchasing new staples.
