Guide: How to Choose the Right Dispenser for Your Service
The choice of dispenser is usually based on where the guest will take their napkin. Here are the three most common solutions:
Tabletop Dispenser – For Seated Guests
Placed directly on the guest’s table.
- Advantage: Enhances the service experience by allowing guests to take an extra napkin without getting up.
- Tip: Choose a model with an advertising window (“Ad-a-Glance”) to promote desserts or offers directly at the table.
- System: Often N4 (Tork) or N2 (Fastfold) for smaller tables.
Counter Dispenser – For High Traffic
Placed at the checkout, cutlery station, or buffet.
- Advantage: Maximizes flow during the lunch rush. Many models are stackable or wall‑mounted to save counter space.
- Material: Often durable plastic or stainless steel to withstand heavy use and allow easy cleaning.
Napkin Holders vs. Dispensing Systems
- Dispensing Systems (Xpressnap, etc.): Dispenses one napkin at a time. This is the most economical and hygienic option since guests only touch the napkin they use.
- Open Napkin Holders: Classic holders (often wood/metal) where napkins lie in a stack. Gives a more “homey” and traditional feel, but consumption is usually higher as guests tend to take multiple napkins at once.
