PU, Nitrile or Latex?

Different coatings give gloves different properties.

• PU-coated assembly gloves: Often thin and flexible, making them well-suited for assembly work and handling small parts.
• Nitrile-coated assembly gloves: Available in several designs and can provide a good grip when handling tools and materials. Grip performance may vary between dry and oily surfaces.
• Latex-coated assembly gloves: Often feature a flexible coating that provides good grip for tasks such as construction work and material handling.

When comparing gloves, consider the type of coating, the base material, and the surfaces the glove is designed for.

What Is the Difference Between Assembly Gloves and Work Gloves?

Assembly gloves are generally thinner and more flexible than heavier-duty work gloves. This makes them a practical choice for tasks involving small components or work that requires precision.

For heavier handling tasks, more robust work gloves may be a better option. However, a thicker glove does not automatically provide better protection. Always check the glove's certification and select gloves according to the risks involved in the work.

Check Protection Ratings and Fit

Many assembly gloves are certified according to EN 388, the standard used for gloves that protect against mechanical risks. The rating indicates how the glove performed in tests for abrasion resistance, cut resistance, tear resistance, and puncture resistance.

Also pay attention to sizing. Gloves should fit closely enough to provide good control and dexterity, but not so tightly that they restrict movement.
