Protective gloves.

In our assortment, you will find protective gloves that are good to use when performing more demanding work and handling chemicals. Our protective gloves provide adequate protection against cuts, stabs, or heat. In this category, you will find everything from more straightforward protective gloves in rubber or with PU coating to cut protection arm guards and welding gloves in leather. We also have many different sizes, and you must find just the right one. The wrong size of protective gloves can be downright dangerous as it makes the work clumsier, and there is a greater risk of getting stuck with the gloves in machines that pull in both the glove and you.

Many of our protective gloves use a cut protection classification through the EN388 / ISO13997 standard, where cut protection is classified from the lowest Level A to the highest and most protective Level F. The EN388 test is carried out by a straight knife blade cutting against the protective glove, and after each cutting movement, the knife is replaced, and the pressure against the glove increases at each cut. The lower levels do not withstand as tough cuts, but they are often thinner and provide better tactile sensitivity. The higher grades have excellent protection against cuts but are somewhat stiffer. There are gloves in all levels you may need for all areas of use; several of our cut protection gloves are approved for contact with food and perfect to use as an inner glove together with disposable gloves in kitchens, fish shops or butchers. Regardless of what you work with, at Tingstad, we have the protective gloves for your work that keep you safe from cuts, stabs, and other injuries.

Don’t forget always to use common sense when handling chemicals and change protective gloves immediately if there are signs of material degradation.

You can read more about different classifications and choosing the suitable protective gloves at the Swedish Work Environment Authority.
