Soaking agents.
Sometimes regular dishwashing isn’t enough. To remove dried-on starch, burnt food and stubborn residues, an effective pre-soak is required. Here you’ll find professional soaking agents that break down the soil chemically before the wash enters the machine – perfect for restoring discoloured porcelain and bringing cutlery back to a brilliant shine.

Dissolve starch and food residues
In a commercial kitchen, dried food is a constant challenge. Mashed potatoes, rice and pasta all contain starch that acts like glue when it dries. By placing cutlery and gastronorm containers in a soaking bath, enzymes and chemicals break down the starch. This prevents re-washing and saves both time and energy in the dishwashing area.
Clean discoloured cutlery and porcelain
Coffee, tea and strongly spiced sauces often leave brown stains (tannins) that ordinary detergents struggle to remove. With our soaking agents, you can easily restore the shine of your cutlery and make your porcelain bright white again. Regular soaking removes oxidation and deposits that make tableware look prematurely aged.
Choose the right product for each material
It’s important to treat different materials correctly to avoid damage:
- For stainless steel & plastic: Chlorine-based products are extremely effective at removing discolouration from porcelain and plastic, but should never be used on silver or aluminium as they may tarnish the metal.
- For silver & delicate metals: Use a gentle product (often in powder form) specifically designed to lift soil from silver without affecting the surface.
Safety tip: Soaking agents are often highly concentrated. Always use protective gloves and goggles when handling the powder or liquid.
