A spotless result starts with proper cleaning. The washer sleeve is the tool that does the heavy work – it dissolves dirt, bird droppings and pollen while spreading water evenly across the glass. Here you’ll find washer sleeves with maximum water absorption and holders that make the job ergonomic and efficient.

Choose the right sleeve for the job

A good washer sleeve should hold plenty of water so you don’t have to return to the bucket unnecessarily, while still providing enough scrubbing power to loosen dirt.

• Microfiber: The modern standard choice. Microfiber binds dust and dirt extremely effectively and holds up to six times its own weight in water. Provides an even layer of suds on the window.
• Rough sleeve (Porcupine/Scrub): Features woven-in “bristle strands” or scrubbing zones. Perfect for heavy outdoor cleaning where you need to remove tough dirt, insects or deposits without scratching the glass.

The holder – Fixed or Swivel?

The washer sleeve holder (T-Bar) is the backbone of the tool. Most are made from lightweight plastic or aluminium with water chambers that help retain moisture.

  Frequently asked questions about washer sleeves

  Do all sleeves fit all holders?

  Generally yes. The standard widths (25, 35, 45 cm) are universal in the industry. A 35 cm sleeve from Unger fits perfectly on a 35 cm holder from Ettore, and vice versa.

  How often should I wash the washer sleeve?

  For best results, rinse it thoroughly after each workday and machine wash it regularly (often at 60°C). A dirty sleeve can contain grains of sand which, in the worst case, can scratch the glass.

  What is the advantage of a “pad strip” on a sleeve?

  Some sleeves have a small scrubbing pad on one end. It is used to rub off isolated spots (e.g. bird droppings) by turning the tool around, so you don’t need to use the scraper as often.
