Choose the Right Washer Sleeve for Window Cleaning

A washer sleeve is used together with a holder to clean the glass before the water is removed with a window squeegee. The sleeve retains water and cleaning solution, helping to loosen dirt from the glass surface.

The best model depends on the size of the windows you clean and how dirty they are.

• Microfiber: A good choice for standard window cleaning. The material absorbs water and dirt effectively and is widely used in professional washer sleeves.
• Washer sleeves with scrubbing pads: Feature special fibres or scrubbing surfaces that help remove more stubborn dirt. Always ensure the material is suitable for the glass surface being cleaned.
• 25 cm: Convenient for smaller windows and glass surfaces where space is limited.
• 35 cm: A common width suitable for many types of windows.
• 45 cm: Ideal for larger glass surfaces such as shopfront windows and glass partitions.

It can be useful to keep an extra washer sleeve available, especially if you clean many windows or encounter different types of dirt.

Washer Holders – Fixed and Swivel Models

The washer holder, sometimes called a T-bar, is the handle onto which the washer sleeve is mounted. We offer both fixed and swivel models in a range of widths.

A fixed holder works well for standard hand cleaning. A swivel holder allows you to adjust the angle of the tool, which can be useful when cleaning hard-to-reach windows or when using a telescopic pole.

Some holders are also designed to help distribute water more evenly through the washer sleeve.

Choose the correct width. A 35 cm washer sleeve requires a holder of the same width, but you should also verify that the holder and sleeve are compatible. Not all washer sleeves fit all holders.

Caring for Your Washer Sleeves

A dirty washer sleeve can transfer particles back onto the glass and make window cleaning less effective. It is therefore important to rinse the sleeve regularly and wash it when necessary.

Follow the washing instructions provided for each product. Washing temperatures and materials may vary between models. Avoid using fabric softener unless otherwise recommended by the manufacturer.
