From Narrow Rolls to Packaging Larger Goods

A key advantage of the range is the variety of roll widths. Tingstad's brown corrugated cardboard is available in widths from 10 to 140 cm, making it easy to match the material to the products being packed.

Narrow rolls are suitable for wrapping or separating smaller products and individual components. Wider rolls cover larger surfaces with fewer joins and are therefore better suited for larger products and bulky shipments.

For businesses packing items of different sizes, having multiple roll widths available at the same packing station can reduce the need to cut down wider material for each shipment.

Corrugated Cardboard as Wrapping and Interleaving Material

The corrugated structure makes the material flexible while providing a cushioning layer between the product and surrounding packaging. It can be used directly around products, between multiple items inside the same box, or as a protective layer between surfaces.

Several of Tingstad's standard brown rolls are 2.5 mm thick with a grammage of 140 g/m². They consist of a smooth kraft paper layer and a corrugated layer made from recycled paper. Specifications may vary between products and should always be checked on the product page.

For products requiring additional cushioning or larger amounts of void fill, corrugated cardboard can be combined with other protective packaging and void-fill materials.

Roll Width Influences Packing Efficiency

It is easy to focus solely on product size, but workflow efficiency is also important. A roll width that closely matches the products being packed often requires less cutting and is easier to handle than significantly wider formats.

The standard brown rolls are 75 metres long. The assortment also includes a white version measuring 30 cm × 70 m, which may be relevant when packaging appearance is an important part of the presentation
