First Aid Stations and Cabinets

At Tingstad, you'll find first aid stations and cabinets for offices, restaurants, warehouses, workshops, and other workplaces. Our range includes open stations with plasters and dressings, enclosed storage cabinets, and specialised stations for wound care and burn treatment. Choose from products by brands such as Cederroth, Durable, and Snögg.

The best solution depends on your working environment and the type of first aid equipment required. An open station provides a clear overview of the contents, while a closed cabinet can be a practical option where supplies need protection from dirt and dust. Also check whether the station or cabinet is supplied fully stocked or needs to be equipped separately.

Choose the Right First Aid Station

A first aid station makes it easier to keep plasters, dressings, and other supplies organised in one designated location. The best solution depends on the work environment, the types of injuries that may occur, and how many people need access to the equipment.

Open Station or Closed Cabinet?

An open first aid station provides quick access to supplies. It is also easy to see when plasters or dressings need replenishing. This type of station may be suitable for offices, schools, and warehouses.

A closed first aid cabinet may be a better choice in environments where equipment needs protection from dust and dirt, such as workshops or industrial facilities.

Keep in mind that some cabinets are sold empty, while others come fully stocked with first aid supplies. Always check what is included before ordering.

Adapt the Contents to Your Workplace

Different workplaces require different types of first aid equipment. Base your selection on the injuries that may occur and supplement the station as needed.

  • Kitchens and food production: Plasters, dressings, and, where required, blue detectable plasters.
  • Workshops and industry: Dressings and equipment suited to the risks associated with machinery, tools, and work processes.
  • Workplaces with burn risks: Consider adding burn care products. Suitable cooling facilities should also be available.
  • Workplaces with eye injury risks: Assess the need for eye wash stations and eye rinse solutions.

For certain hazards, occupational safety regulations may require specialised equipment such as emergency showers and eye wash stations. A standard first aid station does not replace such equipment.

Placement and Restocking

Place the station or cabinet where supplies can be found and used quickly. Make sure it is not blocked by furniture, stock, or other equipment.

First aid equipment should be clearly signposted. Add an appropriate safety sign if necessary.

Check the contents regularly and replace any used or expired items. Tingstad also offers first aid refill supplies.
