Plasters & Plaster Dispensers.

A plaster is by far the most commonly used consumable in first aid. To reduce waste and ensure plasters are always available when bleeding occurs, we recommend wall‑mounted plaster dispensers. Here you’ll find the market’s leading systems from Salvequick (Orkla) and Cederroth, along with a wide range of refills. Whether you need durable fabric plasters for the workshop, flexible plastic plasters for the office, or detectable blue plasters for food handling, we have the right products in stock.

How to choose the right plaster

Choosing a plaster is about more than just size. The material plays a major role in how well it adheres and how quickly the wound heals.

Fabric, Plastic or Blue?

  • Fabric plasters: The most common choice for industrial and trade environments. The fabric is flexible and adapts well to movement, allowing the plaster to stay in place even when fingers are used frequently. It allows the skin to breathe but can become wet if hands are washed often.
  • Plastic plasters: Best suited for moist environments or short‑term use. They are water‑repellent and protect the wound from dirt, but are not as flexible as fabric plasters.
  • Blue plasters (Detectable): A legal requirement within the food industry and restaurants (HACCP). The blue color makes the plaster easy to spot if it falls into food, and it often contains a metal strip detectable by metal detectors.
  • Sensitive: For individuals with sensitive skin or latex allergies, we recommend “Sensitive” options with a gentler adhesive.

Why use a plaster dispenser?

Loose plaster boxes in a desk drawer tend to disappear or run out without anyone noticing. A wall‑mounted plaster dispenser (e.g. Salvequick or Cederroth) solves this problem:

  1. One‑handed application: The plaster is pulled out using one hand and applied directly. The remaining protective backing stays inside the dispenser.
  2. Reduced waste: Because the plaster is “opened” when pulled out, there is no risk of staff taking handfuls of plasters home.
  3. Visibility: It’s immediately clear when the dispenser needs refilling.

Complement with wound cleansing

A plaster should never be applied to a dirty wound. Make sure there is always Wound Cleansing & Disinfection near the dispenser to prevent infections.

Do all refills fit all dispensers?

No. Cederroth refills are locked to Cederroth dispensers, while Salvequick (Orkla) refills fit Salvequick dispensers. Always check the brand on your wall unit before ordering refills. All variants can be found in the category First Aid Refills.
