Choose High-Visibility Coveralls by Work Environment and Protection Requirements

EN ISO 20471 classifies high-visibility clothing according to factors such as the amount and placement of fluorescent and retroreflective materials. Class 3 provides the highest level of visibility under the standard, but the required protection level should always be based on the risk assessment of the specific work environment.

For cold and exposed working conditions, insulated winter coveralls are available. Models such as Portwest PW352 and S485 combine Class 3 visibility with EN 343 certification for protection against adverse weather and EN 342 certification for protection against cold.

Where other workplace hazards are present, additional certifications may be required. Portwest Bizflame BIZ7, for example, combines EN ISO 20471 Class 3 with standards covering heat and flame, welding, and electrostatic properties. Always check which standards apply to the selected model, as a visibility classification does not replace other protective requirements.

Fit and Features for the Working Day
