Which Security Level (P-Level) Do We Need?
The security level determines how small the paper pieces will be. The higher the number, the smaller the pieces and the greater the security.

P-1 & P-2 (Strip-cut): Basic protection. Suitable for general documents without sensitive information. The paper is cut into long strips.

P-3 & P-4 (Cross-cut): Recommended for GDPR. Here, the paper is shredded both lengthwise and crosswise (confetti). P-4 is the standard for most offices handling invoices, personal data, and business contracts.

P-5 to P-7 (Micro-cut): Maximum security. For classified information, government agencies, and HR departments where documents must not be reconstructable.
Capacity and Features – What Fits Your Office?

For home offices: A compact model that handles 5–10 sheets at a time is usually sufficient.

For open-plan offices: Choose a machine with Autofeed (automatic feeding). This allows you to load a full stack of paper (e.g., 100 sheets), close the lid, and let the machine work while you do something else. Also consider choosing a quiet model.
