GN Pan Trolleys for GN 1/1 and GN 2/1

Start by checking which GN format the trolley is designed for. The range includes several models for GN 1/1 pans as well as trolleys for GN 2/1 containers. In some cases, a GN 1/1 trolley can also accommodate smaller GN formats such as GN 1/2 or GN 1/3, but compatibility should always be verified on the individual product.

Choose Capacity and Number of Runners

The trolleys are available in different capacities. Examples include models for 7, 15, and 18 GN 1/1 pans as well as double-sided trolleys with 2 × 6 or 2 × 15 runners.

In addition to capacity, runner spacing is important. For example, a Bartscher trolley with seven levels features 80 mm spacing and is specified for pans with a maximum depth of 65 mm, while a Hallins trolley with 15 levels provides 70 mm spacing.

Always check both the number of runners and the permitted pan depth when transporting deeper GN containers.

Wheels, Brakes, and Safety Stops

Mobility and positioning are also important factors. Several models feature four swivel castors, two of which have brakes. Some trolleys are also equipped with stops or retention systems to help keep containers securely in place during transport.

Compare wheel configurations, brakes, runner security features, and external dimensions according to how the trolley will be used and the available kitchen space.
