When Are Vinyl Gloves Suitable?
Vinyl gloves are a practical choice for simple and short tasks where the primary need is to create a barrier between the hands and the products being handled. In restaurants and food service environments, they can be used for food preparation, portioning, and other tasks where gloves are replaced regularly.
Tingstad's model is intended for food contact and is sold in packs of 200. The glove is made from vinyl/PVC and has a stated temperature limit of up to 40°C. It should therefore not be used as protection against heat.
Vinyl or Nitrile?
Vinyl and nitrile gloves are suitable for partly different applications. Vinyl gloves are a simple option for short-term and repetitive tasks where gloves are replaced frequently. If the work requires a closer fit, greater dexterity, or documented protection against certain chemicals, it is better to consider the appropriate type of nitrile glove.
